Frequentlya Askeda Questions

Q: Why does my dog smell when I pick him up after boarding?

A: At Corvallis Kennels we use hospital disinfectant to keep our runs clean. However, in the kennel among other pet guests a dogs own natural odor may become more noticeable. Owners may be sensitive to pet odors after being separated from their dog for awhile. We recommend scheduling a bath and/or grooming appointment for your pet on the day you plan to pick them up. You will not be charged for boarding on that day.

Q: I have never boarded my pet before, will he miss me?

A: After you check in your pet and they see all of the dogs and cats, they love it! It is like going to camp!

Q: How much do you charge for boarding and grooming?

A: Rates are reasonable and will be quoted when you call or visit.

A: Yes. Our runs are 4 by 16 feet and our many outside play yards are 25 by 50 feet and 8 by 35 feet.

A: We realize that plans do change and wish to accommodate all of our customers needs. We have a 48 hour cancellation policy. After that you will be charged for your reservation.

Q: While my dog is boarding with you, will you play with him?

A: Each dog and cat boarding with us gets individual care and attention. The dogs are taken out to the play yard for playtime. Cats are not let outside but are played with in the cattery.

A: Yes we do! We have a great love for cats we will take excellent care of yours. Our cattery is in a building away from the barking dogs. It is heated and kept quiet so the cats can relax during their stay. Our kitty condos are 5 feet high and have two carpeted shelves for freedom of movement or just plain lounging. There is also plenty of room for their litter box and food and water.

Q: What if my pet becomes ill?

A: For any sudden medical needs, your pet will be taken to your veterinarian. If your vet is unavailable your pet will be taken to the Emergency Vet here in Corvallis.

Q: Is the kennel staffed 24 hours a day?

A: Yes. Our residence is on site so there is always someone here. We don't have office hours on Sunday but your pet will still be taken care of.

Q: Can I make an on-line reservation from this web site?

A: No you can't. Please contact us by phone so that we can learn more about you and your pet. We prefer this more personable approach to taking care of both of you!

Q: What are your check-in and check-out times?

A: You are charged for the day you check your pet in regardless of the time. Check out time is 12:00 noon. So for example if you bring your pet in on Friday and pick it up on Monday before noon, you will be charged for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
